This is the public information page for our hotspot service. If you are trying to get online
on-site, please connect to the NISTER Wi-Fi network and you’ll be redirected automatically.
How to connect when you are on-site
When you are within coverage of a NISTER Wi-Fi hotspot:
- Join the Wi-Fi network called NISTER Wi-Fi (or the SSID shown on your voucher).
- Open any website in your browser — you will be redirected to the login page.
- Enter your phone number and Wi-Fi password to sign in.
- After a successful login, you can use the internet normally.
To view your data balance or expiry while connected, open any browser and visit
https://wifi.nister.org. The local router will show your live status page.
If you are seeing this page
You are currently reaching our central server, not a local hotspot router. This usually means:
- You are not on the NISTER Wi-Fi network (for example, you are on mobile data or another ISP), or
- You are testing wifi.nister.org from outside hotspot coverage.
That’s expected. Hotspot login and account status only work while your device is connected
to a NISTER Wi-Fi access point on-site.

Support & abuse reporting
For help with vouchers, connectivity problems, or unexpected usage, contact the NISTER Wi-Fi
support team with your phone number, approximate time of connection, and a brief description
of the issue.
Abuse or security concerns (suspicious logins, phishing, fraud) can also be reported via these channels.
NISTER aims to provide fair, metered broadband access for students, homes, and small businesses,
with transparent usage and clear account status.
